Making the Psalms Count!

January 15, 2023

Have you ever wanted to dig into the Psalms, but didn’t know where to begin? If you answered yes, come join us in the Hearts Knit Together, Ladies Sunday Morning Bible Class. Each Sunday we are taking a stroll through the Psalms. As we have traveled this path we have learned how this ancient writing is so fitting for today. The psalmist struggled with many of the same problems in his world as we do in our world today. We are learning how to apply his insight while receiving comfort and guidance through his words and use it as we walk our daily path. We are also discovering Jewish traditions and practices that help us make sense of the message.

This past week we discussed how precious God’s Word is and the meticulous practices the scribes took to make sure God’s Word was written accurately and stayed pure to the original text that was given by God and written by man. For example, when they finished every letter and word was counted. If there was even one addition or deletion of a single letter the entire manuscript was destroyed.

If this has piqued your interest, come join us next Sunday at 9:45. We will be finishing Psalm 119 and you are sure to be blessed by this favorite Psalm. All are welcome and I would love to get to know you.
