Whether you are a passionate vocalist, a talented instrumentalist, or just a normal person who wants to sing praises to God, we have a place for you and your talents. We have an active Choir, Praise Team Band, and more. Come be a part of the joyful

Choir
The choir at Whispering Pines Baptist Church is not made up of “American Idol” wannabes but rather those who love Jesus Christ supremely and find great delight and fulfillment in singing His praises whose hearts are full of thankfulness, gratefulness, and praise for their Savior. There are many scripture verses in the Bible encouraging us (and in fact
commanding us) to sing praises to God and praise Him with all kinds of musical instruments.
Because this is our heart’s desire regarding our choir, we do not have “try outs” in order for you to participate – you simply need to attend choir rehearsals. Singing praises to our Lord should be an extension of what we feel in our hearts already. Therefore, we should all practice praising the Lord continually. It should not be solely contingent upon having a good singing voice as the scripture says “make a joyful NOISE unto the Lord.” It is not the capacity of our talent that brings honor to the Lord but rather the content of our heart.
The primary purpose of the choir at Whispering Pines Baptist Church is to, first and foremost, bring honor to our glorious God for He is good and merciful to each of us. Then we are to help encourage, minister, and bless God’s people as it says in *Hebrews 10:24; “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” We desire to assist in building each other up to be all that God needs us to be to our classmates, co-workers, neighbors, family and friends, and to be that living and effective witness to a lost and dying world.
We invite anyone desiring to sing praises to our wonderful Heavenly Father to come on Sunday afternoons at 5:00pm to join us for rehearsal. You’ll find it blesses you more than you could ever have imagined.

The Praise Team meets weekly to practice and prepare for the Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening worship services. If you have a love for God and a love of music, we would love to hear from you. We are always looking for talented people who can sing or play an instrument. If you are interested in the Praise Team, please contact anyone currently on
